Leaning vMix

vMix is a professional software for live video productions. You can start here to find a brief overview of everything vMix is capable of. Many other schools use a product called Wirecast, which is similar but has far fewer features and is less versatile.

The vMix team has a ton of tutorials about literally anything you could want to do with the program, and they're all available on YouTube. If there's something you can't figure out by watching one of their YouTube videos, the vMix forum is also a great place to learn how to use the program as you go. Don't just try and watch a bunch of tutorials if you want to really learn how to use it, though. Just play around with it. Most of the interface is intuitive and logical, so if you just mess around then you should figure it out.
