Publishing a show

This is the easiest part. Open up YouTube and go to the Creator Studio. From there, click the create button in the upper-right hand corner and select "Upload Videos." The recorded files should be in Documents\vMix Storage with the date and time as the filename.

Drag and drop the recording to YouTube and add the show to the playlist for the year, which would be something like "Halo Morning Show 21-22." While the show is uploading, use that time to create a thumbnail to complement the video.

Thumbnail

Most of the time Mr. Miner will take care of this so students can go back to class, but it's a pretty simple process. Open up a recording with VLC Media Player (right-click on the file Open with > VLC). Find a good frame where the anchors are smiling or joking and click Video > Take Snapshot. The resulting snapshot will be output to the Pictures folder on the computer.

From there, you can drag and drop the freeze-frame into the photoshop template that we've made. Simply reorder the layers to where the snapshot is above the previous day's in the layers panel. Edit the date text by double-clicking on it and typing today's date.

Export the thumbnail by clicking File > Export > Quick export as PNG and save it anywhere. You can then drag the thumbnail file into the upload dialog on YouTube.
